Veterinary Diagnostic Centers (VDC) proudly serves pet owners and veterinary practices
throughout Orland Park and Chicago’s south suburbs with advanced diagnostic imaging and
specialist-supported consultations.
Our outpatient imaging center was created to provide timely access to high-quality diagnostic
services while reducing the long wait times often associated with specialty referrals. Through
collaboration with board-certified specialists and referring veterinarians, we help deliver answers
that support better patient outcomes.
The Orland Park location offers a comprehensive range of advanced imaging services, including abdominal ultrasound, echocardiography, electrocardiography, Holter monitoring, video capsule endoscopy, and specialist consultation services. This location also provides thoracic ultrasound and diagnostic radiography with board-certified radiologist interpretation.
Every study is performed with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and communication, ensuring referring veterinarians receive the information they need to guide patient care.
At VDC, we understand that veterinary visits can be stressful for pets and their owners. Our Fear Free philosophy helps create a calmer experience by prioritizing patient comfort and minimizing anxiety whenever possible.
We believe diagnostic imaging should be accessible, efficient, and compassionate. By combining advanced technology with personalized care, we provide a diagnostic experience unlike traditional referral settings.
We are proud to serve as an extension of your veterinary healthcare team. By working directly with referring veterinarians and remote board-certified specialists, we help ensure patients receive timely diagnoses, treatment recommendations, and follow-up guidance.

Veterinary Diagnostic Centers (VDC) was founded to improve access to advanced diagnostic imaging and specialist consultation for pets and the veterinarians who care for them. After hearing countless stories from pet owners struggling to obtain timely appointments with specialists, Drs. Jeff and Katie Bloomberg developed a solution that combines advanced imaging technology, telehealth connectivity, and a patient-centered experience.
VDC operates as an outpatient veterinary imaging center, working closely with referring veterinarians and board-certified specialists in internal medicine, cardiology, and radiology. Our services include diagnostic ultrasound, echocardiography, electrocardiography (ECG), Holter monitoring, video capsule endoscopy, diagnostic radiography, and ultrasound-guided sample collection, depending on location.
What makes VDC unique is our collaborative approach. We do not replace your primary veterinarian—instead, we provide advanced diagnostic information and specialist insights that help your veterinarian develop the most appropriate treatment plan for your pet.
We are also committed to creating a better experience for pets and their families. Through our Fear Free philosophy, comfortable outpatient setting, and efficient appointment process, we strive to reduce stress while delivering timely, high-quality diagnostic answers.
With convenient locations in Chicago, Schaumburg, Orland Park, and Crown Point, Veterinary Diagnostic Centers is redefining the veterinary ultrasound experience by making advanced diagnostics more accessible, efficient, and compassionate.
