Why refer to Veterinary Diagnostic Centers?

Having trouble getting your patient into an internist or cardiologist for an appointment in a timely manner? Problem Solved! Our advanced capabilities include full remote internal medicine or cardiology case analysis. All we need is a full history with any labwork and radiographs that’s been completed, and we’ll do the rest!

  • We will perform the abdominal or echocardiogram
  • We will perform electrocardiogram
  • We will obtain the blood pressure

What Our Referring Vets Should Know:

  1. We accept patients by referral only! We are here to help you meet your patient’s diagnostic needs.
  2. Along with performing the ultrasound, we can collect and submit lab samples for your client at your convenience.
  3. We know you are vouching for us, and a positive client/patient experience is paramount! To that end:
    • We make sure all of our employees hold a Fear Free certification.
    • We encourage the pet parent to be present for the entire appointment, although drop-offs are acceptable. There is no need to leave their scared companion in an unfamiliar environment!
    • We offer online booking and multiple payment options.
    • We encourage you to prescribe oral sedatives to be administered before arriving at the appointment. We can talk this through with you if need be. Trazodone and/or Gabapentin for dogs and Gabapentin for cats tend to be the best. We cannot prescribe medication due to the absence of VPCR. One of the tenets of being Fear Free is that a bit of chemical restraint is far preferable over a lot of physical restraint!
  4. We often do not have a veterinarian on site. Our highly skilled teams include licensed veterinary technicians, credentialed sonographers, veterinary assistants, and client service representatives. Therefore, if you have a patient with emergent issues (e.g., respiratory distress or concerns for hemoabdomen), please send them to the ER!
