Abdominal Ultrasound with Internist Case Analysis
A comprehensive scan of your pet’s abdominal organs, paired with a full case review by a board-certified internist. This service ensures your veterinarian receives detailed insights to guide treatment without the long wait for an in-person specialist visit.
System-Focused Ultrasound
When a full abdominal scan isn’t needed, we offer targeted ultrasounds focused on a specific body system. This is ideal for evaluating pregnancy, urinary concerns, or localized issues.
Ultrasound-Guided Fine Needle Aspirates
If an abnormality such as a mass or enlarged lymph node is detected during an ultrasound, we may recommend a minimally invasive fine needle aspirate to collect a small sample for further analysis.
I had a great experience taking my senior pup here to get an ultrasound. The techs were incredibly kind throughout the entire procedure and took extra care to make my dog feel less scared. It really helped that I was able to be in the room to sit with her the entire time as well. Results came back same day. I would definitely use VDC again for future needs.
Great experience, start to finish. Everyone is patient, kind, and thorough. You’re allowed to accompany your pet during the procedure which is huge - I’ve never seen my dog so relaxed in a veterinary facility. The technicians are phenomenal, too! Quick turnaround on results and both the report and the phone call are very detailed and well-explained. Ultrasound reports are reviewed by a board-certified internal medicine specialist and are sent directly to your veterinarian as well. Can’t recommend them highly enough!

The staff here was excellent. We came here for an ultrasound and the vet/techs discovered our dog needed immediate surgery. They had us set up to go to the emergency vet in minutes. Very professional and attentive staff made our stressful situation much more manageable.
Before scheduling with Veterinary Diagnostic Centers I read the Google reviews and was skeptical that they had all these 5-star rave reviews, so I vowed to add to the list if my experience was also as great as others had claimed. And guess what...it's real! I've been to many veterinarians in Chicago and this is about as good as it gets, especially for specialty care. Not only was the price about half of what other places charge for an ultrasound, they were easy to schedule with, super kind, very up front about pricing and all it includes, and quick to call me with a thorough explanation of the results the following day! I went to the location on Irving Park Rd. and it is a quiet, calming environment with super friendly staff-people. They were so sweet to my anxious Chihuahua and made us both feel well taken care of.

The diagnostic experience with our small dog was excellent. Being with our dog while they completed the ultrasound, the care that the technicians took in keeping her calm and comfortable eased my mind. The thorough explanation of the procedure before and after with the veterinarian was exemplary. They provide emails and transcripts of all interactions including the test results. I highly recommend their diagnostic services.

I took my cat for an ultrasound and it was the smoothest process. From making the appointment, ultrasound time to discussing results, everyone made the stressful process extremely easy. The room we were in had relaxing jazz music; my cat nearly fell asleep! Every employee handled my boy with care and attention and made me very welcome as I sat with them in the room. Results were provided promptly (within 24 hours) and sent to my vet. I would strongly recommend anyone to go here!
