Veterinary Diagnostic Centers uses state-of-the-art ultrasound imaging technology, which allows us to safely see inside your pet without invasive procedures, anesthesia, or radiation. When you bring your pet to us, our team will coordinate with your regular veterinarian to provide optimal care and communication.

Our Process

In just four easy steps, we get the information your primary veterinary needs to provide the best treatment for your pet in a timely manner.

Step 1

Referring veterinarian refers the patient to us and provides a medical record.

Step 2

We perform an ultrasound study and collect any lab samples requested by your veterinarian.

Step 3

We compile and transmit the pertinent images and information to a remote specialist.

Step 4

Our specialist reviews your pet’s case and transmits a report back to your veterinarian.

We proudly partner with general veterinarians in the area to ensure their diagnostics and imaging are done promptly and professionally.

We specialize in services such as veterinary ultrasounds, echocardiograms, and blood tests.

Once the tests are done, we’ll provide you with the results and recommendations.

I was extremely happy with the services I received at VDC. My pup had a suspected heart murmur and needed a cardiac ultrasound. Finding an appointment with a local cardiologist was a minimum of a few weeks. VDC was able to see us within 24 hours, and they got all the records from our vet in advance. This is such a great alternative to animal emergency rooms! My cat needed an ultrasound fairly urgently, and none of the typical clinics could get me an appointment sooner than a month out. I was able to get a next-day appointment at Veterinary Diagnostic Center, and the experience was phenomenal. Being able to book online was a huge plus, and all I had to provide was my vet's name and they took care of getting my cat's records and spoke to my vet. Everyone was so professional, the environment was very cat friendly. The techs were amazing and treated my cat like one of their own. If your veterinarian has recommended imaging (echocardiogram or ultrasound) then you should consider Veterinary Diagnostic Centers. There are only pros: low stress handling, warmed ultrasound gel, clean and modern space, and street parking (Chicago location). I work in the veterinary field and have referred patients here and have heard nothing but great things. When I needed an ultrasound for my own cat, I immediately went online to book a next day appointment. Every staff member treated me and my nervous kitty with love and care. They do everything they can to make your pet feel comfortable before, during, and after the imaging. The prices are also very reasonable. Don't hesitate!

Just amazing!!!! Scheduling an appointment was a breeze. I was hesitant because of the hour drive to get there. But after the visit I honestly would drive 2 hours if I needed to go back there with my dog. They had calming music playing in the room while they did the ultrasound.
